Incoming Kindergartners – Welcome to Findley!

Kindergarten students attended our Jumpstart program August 7 and 8 from 8:30 – 11:30. They spent time eating breakfast in the cafeteria, meeting classmates and teachers, learning about reading, playing at recess, and getting familiar with the school!

Scouting the Routes for Safe Walks to School

The school bell times at Findley will change with the beginning of the 2018-19 school year. Our new start time is 7:30 AM and we will dismiss at 2:25 PM, with a 75 minute early dismissal on Wednesdays. New School Hours Beginning in August

Beginning in August, all schools at DMPS will have new hours. The new hours at our school will be 7:30 AM to 2:25 PM. Findley Continues Work on Art Installation

There’s an exciting art collaboration happening between the Des Moines Art Center, Brooklyn-based artist Dave Eppley and students and staff at Findley Elementary School. The district dropped in on an after-school professional development session and found all of the Findley teachers getting involved with the project that’s slated for unveiling on November 5th.
