PTO

What is PTO?

A. PTO is “Parent Teacher Organization” – a group of parents and teachers who find ways to support the staff and students of Findley Elementary School through fundraisers, donating funds to committees and groups, and hosting meetings and events where parents and families can connect and be involved in the school. Some parents volunteer during the school day with doing tasks for teachers and staff. Some parents volunteer at Findley events in the evening.

When and where does PTO meet?

A. We plan to meet once each month (January and May are exceptions) on either Tuesdays or Thursdays. We begin at 6:30 pm and meet in the library. PTO provides childcare for school age children in the gym. This year, we will start with a meeting and then have a social time afterwards where you can get to know other parents. We usually have a DOOR PRIZE DRAWING with lots of goodies and gift cards to thank you for attending!

What do I have to do to join?

A. Just join us at a meeting! There is no cost or other requirements to join. If you can’t be there at a meeting, that’s okay. If you need to come later or leave early, that’s okay, too. Parents who are regular attenders and participators are encouraged to consider applying to be on our Executive Board. Any level of involvement is appreciated and supports our school!
