This is my 18th year working for DMPS at Findley Elementary. I am the school Librarian. I studied Early Childhood Education at University of Wisconsin-Stout and Elementary Education at Mankato State University. I am married with three children and six grand children.

In addition to teaching, I enjoy reading, traveling, crafts, photography, and spending time with my family!
I have been teaching in Des Moines Public Schools since 2007. Over the years I have been a classroom teacher for 2nd and 3rd grade, a K-5 technology teacher, a small group reading and math teacher, and instructional coach.

Hello Findley Families! I am new to DMPS and am excited to learn and grow with the whole Findley community. I graduated with an MA in school counseling from the University of Iowa in 2021. I’ve previously been an elementary school counselor in Iowa City, a wildlife camp coordinator for UI Wild, an educator with the Iowa Children’s Museum, a special ed paraeducator, a preschool assistant with Neighborhood Centers of Johnson County, a camp coach for Children’s Theater of Madison, and a childcare provider. I’ve lived in many places and learned a lot from every child and family I’ve met. I’m eager to be part of the team here at Findley and to be there for every student and family every day.
