College Visits a Top Priority for Findley

Fifth graders caught some extra fairy dust after Peter Pan Thursday, November 5th and “flew” on over to Grand View University for a college visit. They tapped into their sociology skills, met with Grand View students, worked with kinesiology professor Dr. Z, took some tours and spoke about what it meant to be a scholar.

Just a couple weeks ago, Third graders had a BLAST at Central College! They went through academic stations, planted tulips, played with bones and even got to eat in the school cafeteria! Third graders are ready to reach their goals and enroll in college after this trip!

Thanks to Grand View, Central College and I Have A Dream Foundation (Des Moines) for making our scholars’ dreams come true.

The plan is to have every grade attend their adoptive college this year.  We will continue to share more of these visits as they happen. We know that each and every student at Findley has the ability to be a top notch scholar and after visits like these, we wouldn’t be surprised to see a lot of them add Grand View and Central to their top choices.
