Shutterfly Pilots “Photo Story in the Classroom” at Findley

Third grade students in Ms. Fontanini’s class had the opportunity to participate in Shutterfly’s Photo Story in the Classroom pilot program! Each student was able to create their own photo book using the Photo Story app on the iPads in their classroom. This arts integration project provided students an opportunity to share what they learned during their science unit through research, writing, and putting together all the parts of their book.

The books are about different types of crustaceans, including crayfish, lobsters, shrimp, and crabs. After creating the books using the program, Shutterfly provided each student with a free printed color copy of their book! The students were excited when the orange package containing their books arrived to school in the mail. The class celebrating by opening the box together and reading parts of their books with each other. The books will be displayed at spring conferences with another arts integration project from this science unit: Crustacean sculptures that each student created with Model Magic!
